Limbu are tribal people of Nepal (and to a lesser extent India and Bhutan).mostly limbu are from eastern region of Nepal .limbuwan khukuri came from their name. People of eastern region of Nepal used this type of khukuri as weapons. These khukuris were very famous during the historical wars. In 1814 warriors from Nepal’s eastern region participated in the civil wars. In 1st World war Rai & Limbu people from the Nepalese eastern region had participated in British Nepali Army. They used this khukuri to fight in the war. Today, that period still reign in the hearts of Nepalese. Most Limbus prefer this khukuri as their cultural Program.
